When Marrakech hits 40 degrees and between tours you just want to soak, a day pass is the answer: for a full day you get access to a hotel or resort pool, with sunbed, umbrella and towel included, and often lunch or a bar credit too. Arrive around 10am and stay until sunset.

Good to know

• The nicest resorts are outside the centre (Palmeraie or outskirts): taxi not included, around 100-150 dh each way.
• At weekends and in August pools fill up with local families: for quiet, go on a weekday.
• Some hotels close the pool around 6-7pm: check the closing time if you plan to stay until sunset.
