Mount Toubkal Trek in 2 Days
The roof of North Africa in a weekend: Mount Toubkal (4,167 m) is the highest peak in Morocco and all of North Africa, and it's climbed in 2 days. You start from Imlil (1,740 m), 90 minutes from Marrakech, hike up to the Toubkal refuge (3,207 m) where you sleep, and the next morning push for the summit at dawn to watch the sun rise over the Atlas and, on clear days, out to the Sahara.
Certified mountain guide included, mule for luggage, full board at the refuge. Shared from €125-180 per person; private up to €360. Day one is 5-6 hours of walking, day two similar including the summit push: you need legs and lungs, but no mountaineering experience (no snow in summer).
